Bespoke Picture Framers Art Gallery and Interiors
FAQs
-
Yes we do. We frame all kids of sports clothing and items. Please bring your item in to The Gallery and we can show you samples and discuss your project with you.
-
No, we don’t do dry mounting.
Paper is never truly flat, it appears flat in comparison to curved objects. Paper can become wavy because it absorbs and releases moisture from the air, causing it to expand or contract unevenly. Other common causes include handling, previous storage (like being tightly rolled in a tube or folded), or being taped too tightly, which prevents the paper from "breathing" naturally. Any previous folds or creases are permanent and the framing process will not remove them. Paper can change after being framed from environmental temperature changes and moisture. Sometimes mounting on thin paper can look worse because shadows form between the paper and mount.
If you have concerns about your paper artwork, we are happy to discuss it. You may like to source a paper conservation or dry mounting specialist.
